Greg Myers was born in Riverside and graduated from Riverside Poly High School, where he was an all Ivy League and all CIF baseball player. 

Greg was drafted in the third round of the 1984 major league draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He made his major league debut in September 1987 and went on to play 18 seasons of major league baseball. 

As a catcher and designated hitter throughout his career, he played in 1108 major league games. Greg played with Toronto Blue Jays, California Angels, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, and Oakland Athletics and he was on two World Series teams: the San Diego Padres in 1998 and the Atlanta Braves in 1999.
